This will be the last blog ever. I am retiring the blog pages on Sunday. Thanks to those who actually read these things. I will post all updates under the appropriate forum for now on. Replacing the Blogs tab will be a page dedicated to NALIJ Recordings. It is still under construction, I want to get some input from the NALIJ crew before finishing. I am hoping to have the page completed after August's DND Monthly.
August's DND Monthly will probably be Lotus's last set @ Brick House. Everyone be sure to make his final appearance one to remember. To those that missed June's DND Monthly: DON'T FUCKING MISS AUGUST'S DND MONTHLY!!! Party starts @ 10pm instead of 8, & goes on 'till da break o' dawn! Hope to see everyone then! Flyer below:

Since it has been soooooooooooooooooooooooo long since we have made any progress on the upcoming album, Attack of the Condo Clones, we have decided to scrap the entire project. This album sounds horrible and no one has any intentions of finishing it. This has been a long time coming! However, expect great mixes from Djs: LyNkZ, Mattius, Dalfin, Ticus, & Lotus in the very near future!!!

It has been a while since my last blog, almost a month, damn! It is once again time for another DND Monthly. Unfortunately, the NALIJ crew will not be in attendance, but we still have a hella party planned. Party starts @ 8pm (open decks from 8-9pm). Dalfin & I will be mixing our newest album, Hostile Takeover, from 9-10pm. The decks are open from 10-11pm, then Mattius & myself are gonna mix our upcoming Splif In Da Sky album, Liquid Funk Therapy, from 11pm-12mid. Check out July's DND Monthly forum thread for details! Saturday night's party was by far the best party that we have ever had @ Brick House. Super ultra gamma props to Joe (Lotus) & Matt (Ticus)!!! They straight up killed it! Unbelievable amounts of hot shit, track after track after track. The BBQ part went really well, tons of dank food. Lotus started off the evening instead of me, we decided fuck da plan. Anyway, he had some really, really hot hooks. Sorry about the technical difficulties, wish we could have recorded Lotus's set. We did finally get the recorder to work around 11, and then we began the NALIJ vs. D'N'D Live Recording. Mattius went first, followed by me, then Lotus, and finally Ticus. After the Live Recording, Ticus recorded him a short 40min. set that was super dank! After Ticus's set, Dalfin and Mattius mixed for a while. I decided around 1:30 to mix my liquid funk therapy (extended mix), it sounded pretty bad for my standards, but it was mostly new shit. Mattius came on after me and dropped some of his new liquid funk. Ticus took control of the deckz around 3am, and dropped by far the most nastiest ragga ever dropped up in Brick House! One of the best late night dnb sessions ever! Ups to everyone who came out for the support. Be sure to check out the photo gallery for pics from Saturday's monthly. Can't wait 'til next monthly! I will be runnin' thru my sets (liquid funk & darkstep) to take care of the bugs. The liquid funk set should be really hot! Dalfin was over last night droppin' some tracks that will more than likely be on his Hostile Takeover set. Great effort from all the encdnb.com djs this week!!!
I resized all the Splif In Da Sky tracklists last night. I removed the words, 'Tracklist' & resized Musical Revelation and Resolution to 640 X 480. Not that anybody cares but me, just figured I'd let ya know what I waste my time on.

Ran thru my Liquid Funk set for June's DND Monthly (from 9-10pm), it stills needs work. I usually have all month to prepare for the next monthly's set, but I didn't get my new rekidz 'til Monday. I still have faith that I will be ready to drop it by Saturday night! I plan to record a similar version of Saturday's set for the upcoming Splif In Da Sky album, Liquid Funk Therapy. The updated tracklist should be posted soon.
Dalfin & Mattius had an hour long practice session yesterday. It sucked that I had to go work on Beachfront RV's computer. Matt told be that he had found a really hot hook. I told him to be sure to drop it during his & Dalfin's darkstep tag set (from 1am-until?).
I have literally no idea what I'm gonna play during my part of the NALIJ vs. D'N'D LIVE Recording. It really all depends what Lotus & Ticus plan on playing. Mattius hasn't decided what he's play either. We are hoping Ticus & Lotus will come down late Friday night, so we can have a rehearsal of some kind. I have plenty of vinyl that I want to hook, but I really want the whole vibe of the CD to be progressive. So, hopefully we'll get this set planned better in the next couple of days.

New rekidz are in!!! Locals come by tonight for a preview of what I'm gonna play on the 23rd. I brought a cord today, so now everything in the studio is operational. Check out the new Liquid Funk Therapy tracklist on the Splif In Da Sky Recordings page. It is not finished, of course, Mattius needs to compile his tracklist, but my tracklist is posted (I will be playing Track 2 LIVE from 9-10pm during June's DND Monthly). Hope to have the final album done this winter!
Coming Soon :: Hostile Takeover tk2 - mixed by Dj LyNkZ. I plan on reposting this mix after da party. This mix was originally on the Sofa King We Todd Did CD Sampler, but since Sofa King We Todd Did will never be released, I plan to re-release it on Hostile Takeover. Hopefully, Lizzi & Dalfin will be ready to get the photo shoot over with in the next few days/weeks.

I will be gettin' my new rekidz on Monday!!! DND crew get up w/ me this week for a preview of wot's in store. I hope my needles will hold up for the party. I broke one last night, and used my last replacement stylus. I am gonna try to order some later today, but I'm not sure if they will get here in time.
The sound system is sounding the best it's ever sounded. I went and hooked up the 12" sub w/ 350 watts amp for extra bass. It really makes a serious difference. I am really lookin' forward to da 23rd! RSVP if you are plannin' on makin' it! Party people, I will see ya NEXT SATURDAY!!! Peace.

Lookin' forward to mixing some rekidz w/ da G'Vegas crew in less than two weeks! Unfortunately, we probably don't have a big enuff venue for magnitude of this party. Ticus has informed me that he will be bringing 4-7 people w/ him. We have room for at least 25 in the main room w/ an half-acre backyard (chill/smoking/grill area). Only have parking for maybe 9 cars, so def let us know if you plan on parkin'. We also plan to grill out from 8-9pm; burgers, hot dogs, chicken, etc. Pixie Dust & Jimbo will be in charge of food, & they never disappoint. All party-goers should R.S.V.P., so we can get a better idea how many are plannin' on showin' up.

With June's DND Monthly only two weeks away, preparations are being made. Mattius & I have ordered a shitload of new vinyl, we just hope it will get here in time for da party. I updated the dj lineup on the Upcoming Events forum. Unfortunately, Mattius has to work 'til around 10, so he's gonna miss the liquid funk part of the show. He does think, however, that he will be home in time for Nalij vs. DND tag session / live recording.
It looks like I will be in charge of the liquid funk / atmospheric session from 9-10. I plan on mixing the set that I have been working on this week along with a new set featuring lots of my new vinyl. I was thinkin' for the Nalij vs. DND tag session, we could have 15-min. time slots for each dj: Ticus, Lotus, Mattius, & myself. That way each dj could mix at least 2-3 hooks before their time is up. After the tag session, Nalij will take control of da deckz : Lotus from 11-12 & Ticus from 12-1. Dalfin & Mattius will finish the evening off with some darkstep, possibly some amens. It should be a night to remember! Don't be that guy who asks us the next day, "How did the party go?"!!! Bring ya ass!

Sorry bout da lack of blogs lately, been busy. If you some how made it here without first visiting da forum, Ticus & Lotus will be our special guest djs for June's DND Monthly (June 23rd). We are really excited bout having some new djs in da house. Ticus plans on playin' a ragga mashup / darkstep set. I sent him a time slot schedule for his approval, still waitin' on his reply. I haven't met Ticus other than through the net, but he seems cool as shit. I met Lotus back around the 2000/2001 era, he hooked my brand new Total Science track before I did. Matt got up with Lotus and got me a gig at Peasant's when he was runnin' Refresh. I played a set that was a lil' too dark for their tastes, but a great set, nevertheless. Can't wait to play beside him again. Huge ups to Nalij Recordings!!!
I am workin' on gettin' another 12" sub and an amp for June's DND Monthly. Since we live in such confined neighborhood, we can't get too wild w/ subs & large amounts of cars. We have not yet filled up the driveway during our biggest show, so we should be good for at least 20 people or maybe 8-9 cars. We always have a good time no matter how many people show up!!!

Party people get ready!!! May's DND Monthly is tomorrow night! We will be having a 4-DJ Tag Session from 8-9pm featuring Djs: Tupper vs. LyNkZ vs. Mattius vs. Dalfin, followed by my Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) set (9-10:30pm), then Mattius will be playing off the crowd, droppin' some liquid funk tracks expected to be on the next Splif In Da Sky recording (10:30-12mid), Dalfin will take control from midnight-until? Should be an incredible night, Dark 'N' Dank crew will be out in full effect. Big ups to Dalfin for his largely increased efforts. He plans to resume work on his Attack of the Condo Clones set (Track 4) with the help of Mattius in the next few months. Hope to see everyone tomorrow night, should be quite a show!

We were gonna work in the yard today, but it was so damn windy. So, we decided to work on the site & spin vinyl. Mattius mixed his Big Screen Basslines - Track 1, and I uploaded the WORMHOLE LP onto eBay. Dalfin came over & mixed, as well. Since eBay charges per item, I will only be posting 2 a week. Feedback will determine what will be auctioned off each week. The ones auctioned each week will be posted in the forum under DnB Vinyl, be sure to check'em out!

I will be revamping the site during the next few days. I will be removing the Events Calendar. It has become to much for me to promote everyone else's parties. We still, however, want promoters to take advantage of our site by posting upcoming events in our forum. I will be changing the home page to link to the forum & everything can be accessed from there. The Upcoming Events page will be replaced w/ the forum topic: Upcoming Events. There will be two new tabs at the top of each page (not on the forum). One is Audio (will link to the forum's audio section), and the other is Event Reviews (will link to forum's topic: Event Reviews). This revamping of the site is designed to get more people involved in our forum.

Dalfin came by yesterday and freestyled for a few hours. Every time he shows up, he seems to get betta & betta. He was straight up workin' dem deckz, matching beats at a level far beyond what we expected! If he keeps this up, he will be playing out w/ us by 2008. We love when Dalfin comes over, it gives us an excuse to get up our asses & mix some rekidz! Mattius & I have been sort of slackin' on mixing our sets lately. I need to finish my Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) and Mattius needs to record an updated mix of Track 1 (Big Screen Basslines). In the little time, I have spent on my Tribute to BCUK set, I am really happy on the outcome. I should be posting a promo (perhaps the final mix) on our forum under Exclusive / promo mixes from encdnb.com djs in the next few weeks. Once the Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) set is completed, Mattius & I plan to order some new sh*t! We have been slackin' on producing a CD full of new releases. So, next release from me will be a guest mix for dnbradio.com w/ plenty of new dubs. Mattius & I will also be stockin' up on some new liquid funk for our upcoming album on Splif In Da Sky Recordings, so far Untitled. I probably will get some new amens, as well, for my Hostile Takeover album, due out in 2008. Be sure to make it out to June's DND Monthly to hear most of our new dubs mixed live by Mattius & myself!!!

Happy b-days go out to Dalfin & Mattius!!!
Dalfin, Mattius, & I had a hella practice session yesterday afternoon. I started off w/ the first few mixes from my Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) set. My best mix I've done since I came up the tracklist. Mattius hooked some M.I.S.T. really hot. Dalfin got straight up nasty w/ some of my Architecture records. His beat matching ability is straight up insane considering his lack of experience!!! I told him we need to get Tupper to finish his mix w/ us, finish Tupper's solo mix, my set, and Dalfin & Mattius's set, & get Attack of the Condo Clones done! Huge props to Dalfin for makin' da effort & comin' out here & spinnin' some dnb w/ us!

I ran through my Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) set, and I think I need much more practice before I record. I will be workin' on this set thoughout the weekend, tryin' to get it to sound like it did when I came up w/ it. The hooks are there, I just need to work on matchin' da beats betta. I really like the beginning & towards the end, but the middle is filled w/ short mixes that I may change to run longer, if time allows. I will post a promo mix on the forum under Exclusive mixes from encdnb.com djs in the next few weeks, so keep checkin' back!
Dalfin came by da house last night & dropped some vinyl w/ us. I started off with some older Total Science, 'Passion', and mixed out w/ some Dillinja & some Dillinja rmxs. Dalfin hooked a lot of tracks from Trace's '23 Degrees from Vertical LP'. Everytime he plays he seems get betta & betta, just wish we could get him to hang out more often in order to finish Attack of the Condo Clones. Mattius hooked Audio Unit's 'Ready Now' out of one the tracks Dalfin played, pretty hot! Gotsta love dem last minute sessions! Pics of me & Dalfin below:

Now that the Big Screen Basslines tracklist has been completed, this should light a fire under Mattius's ass to get the final album recorded. Mattius hooked the hell out of the first track on his album @ April's DND Monthly - 4:20, so it won't be long before he is ready to re-record. His second track still needs some work, but will be really hot once he gets the bugs worked out. I plan to run through my Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) this weekend & see how long the final version will be (hopefully less than 80min., so I can get it on a CD). If I record it, the promo mix will be available only to forum members. Speaking of forum members, ya'll need to post sumthin', let us know what you liked/disliked, feedback, etc.

Big Screen Basslines tracklist now posted! Let us know what you think!
Been busy this week workin' on getting our yard under control, & haven't spent anytime mixing. After Mattius & I get the back yard finished, I plan to resume progress on my Tribute to BCUK set. I plan to get my eBay account started sometime this week, so I should be able to sell some vinyl real soon. Mattius & I have been shoppin' hard for some new vinyl. We have been checkin' out lots of UK record stores, lookin' for the hot shit. We will probably end up ordering from both Chemical Records & DNB Source, the best two UK online record shops we've been to. My favorite, however, is still Breakbeat Science, but we are considering other options.
There are still plenty of people who came out to April's DND Monthly - 4:20 that haven't posted a review on the forum. Plz post something if only a GIF file. I feel like the only person who uses da forum, sometimes.
Below is an updated schedule of our upcoming albums for 2007. I haven't done one in a while, so here it is:
MAY : Update A Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) tracklist, and add Big Screen Basslines tracklist. If everything works out, I hope to have A Tribute to BCUK finished before June.
JUNE : Big Screen Basslines should be nearing completion. I will begin working on a guest mix for DNB radio. Both sets will be posted in our forum under Exclusive mixes from encdnb.com djs long before they are posted on any other site.
JULY : My DNB radio guest mix will be hopefully finished, and Mattius & I will begin working on our (so far, untitled) upcoming Splif In Da Sky album
AUGUST-DECEMBER : Finish Splif In Da Sky album w/ Mattius, & begin working on Hostile Takeover. Mattius, also, may plan to start composing a guest mix for DNB Radio. We could end up mixing on internet radio in 2008 if tings come together like we hope.

Last night's DND Monthly was by far the highest attended Brick House event. Huge ups to everyone who came out. Shitloads of my friends that I hadn't seen in a while showed up. Tupper showed up w/ records in hand ready to drop hot trax like bombs. Dalfin hooked several mixes, especially impressive since we know its been months since he last touched da deckz. Mattius had a bunch of his crew in attendance, including Clayton, Amamda, Ashley, & several more. I was sick as hell to my stomach, but I still managed to mix a few every now & again. I will have to give everyone a raincheck on my Tribute to BCUK set, probably next DND Monthly. Mattius stole da show this time, with his hot new set, Big Screen Basslines. Everyone was feelin' the new setup, and we keep it the same way for the rest of this year's DND Monthlys. Also, be sure to read my review & post your comments on the forum! Thanks for the support!

TOMORROW: April's DND Monthly - 4:20!!! This DND Monthly will be much more hooked up than the last one. We have moved the deckz in front of the dancefloor, and added lighting effects (Titan, blacklights, & small meteorite). This should increase the vibe, & give us more room for more people! I will be mixing my Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) set (from 9-10:30pm), and Mattius will be mixing his entire Big Screen Basslines album (from 10:30-until?, for the first time all the way through). My Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) will only be mixed live on this special night (4:20!). I have no plans to ever play it again live, so don't miss this once in a lifetime event!
Mattius & I are going to be discussing mixing @ The Dive w/ Al (owner) in the next few weeks. I was thinking since The Dive is such a big club, it would be perfect for two rooms of sound. We were thinking we could setup our equipment in the side room (pool table area), since dnb is not big enough (around here) to be featured in the main room. Resident Dj, Curran, could be in charge of droppin' Top 40 & everything else in the main room. We could maybe start out on Thursdays (once a month) on Dj Dance Party Night, and see how that goes. We figure Al can't lose on this deal. If no one is feelin' da dnb, it won't drive people out of the club. It will more than likely move them towards the bar (Al will like that), and into the main room. This will give us a respected venue to play at, and will give The Dive advantages over their competition (only club w/in Carteret & Onslow counties that has/promotes dnb music plus having 2 rooms of sound is something not done at many clubs in the surrounding areas, not to mention, FREE advertising on our site & all other dnb sites that will let us post a flyer). Hopefully everything will work out, & Mattius & I will start throwing our DND Monthlys @ The Dive, so we can properly promote. Big ups to The Dive for giving us the opportunity to play out (Visit Previous Events page to view pictures from previous dnb parties @ The Dive)! We will keep ya'll posted on the details as they develop. Until then, be sure to add Dark 'N' Dank Recordings to your MySpace friends, so you can be invited to DND Monthlys @ Brick House!!! April's DND Monthly - 4:20 this FRIDAY!!! I will be debuting my A Tribute to BCUK set, not to ever be played live again. I plan to record my A Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix) sometime in May. Forum members will get to listen/download it months before I put it on the Previous Albums page (Fall 2007). Mattius will be mixing his Big Screen Basslines album, from start to finish. Be on the look out for a recording from Mattius real soon. We were talking yesterday about how much better Mattius is now then when he made some of his previous recordings. Mattius has been steppin' his game up in a major way!!!
I have been adding a lot of new friends throughout the world. If you appreciate dnb music, then you are probably one of my friends. If not, I'll get to ya, hold jah horses. DNB Radio wants me to send them a guest mix. I will be working on an exclusive demo mix for DNBRadio.com after I finish A Tribute to BCUK (probably will begin working on demo sometime in June). I plan to mix a little of every style of dnb that I play; a lil' liquid funk, a few rollers, some neurofunk, and finish off with the set with some amen rinseouts. I will be ordering some new vinyl for DNBRadio.com's demo, just not sure what yet. This will, however, postpone the Splif In Da Sky release by a few months. Mattius & I worked on the Untitled Splif In Da Sky set on Monday. No tracklist yet, but we have picked out some trax that we want to be on the album.
Dj Shrimp was kind enuff to hit up our forum w/ some of his previous mixes. Listen/download them, and post comments. Shrimp Daddy loves some feedback. Much respect goes out to da Texas dnb crew! Distortion Recordings also joined our forum this week. They are on some serious shit! These guys produce some of da darkest dnb I have heard in a long while. DND Monthly - 4:20 edition next Friday!!! Don't miss! Updated DND Announcements page! I will be mixing my Tribute to BCUK - 2007 mix instead of Hot 2 Def - 2007 mix. I got the tracklist finished early this morning. It consists of 32 BCUK tracks & remixes!!! I made sure to add a lot of Fresh tracks to make it more with da times. I updated the Tribute to BCUK - 2007 mix tracklist, but the background will be changed shortly. Mattius will be mixing his upcoming album, Big Screen Basslines, in its entirety on 4:20. Def not to be missed! Mattius & Amanda have bought the brushes needed for painting Amanda's back. They just have to figure out when. I do think we have worked out all da otha details, though. If ya haven't downloaded the Sofa King We Todd Did CD Samplers, time has run out. I deleted them from the site, but don't despair 2008 mixes coming soon. Also deleted, MP3s from the upcoming album(?), Attack of the Condo Clones. Mattius & I feel dat there is too much hot shit on da site to clutter da site up w/ old mixes. If & when Tupper & Dalfin decide to pick up where they left off, I will be sure to post their newest mixes. A lot of time was spent working on albums dat will (probably?) never be released, Sofa King We Todd Did & Attack of the Condo Clones. I do, however, have plans to recycle da mixes into upcoming albums; example: Hostile Takeover.
We hope to raise da bar this year for our labels. Mixes are taken seriously & we will put out only quality shit out. 2007 remixes of DankNation, Hot 2 Def, & A Tribute to BCUK are proof dat we aren't bullshittin'! Our promo mixes (upcoming albums) are still works in progress (so, try not to judge to harshly), but our previous albums are the final product. We love freeback! I will be spendin' the rest of this month (and probably most of next month) workin' on the 2007 mix of A Tribute to BCUK. I plan to have a tracklist put together sometime next month, hopefully before May's DND Monthly! Expect ta hear me mix the Tribute to BCUK album live during my May DND Monthly set, maybe even a liquid funk tag set from mine & Mattius's upcoming album on Splif In Da Sky Recordings.

Hot 2 Def, the 2007 mix, is complete. I finished remixin' Track 1 last night. The first attempt had too many wrecks to call it the final version, even though, it was mixed pretty decent thru out. Last night's mix is mixed a whole lot smoother. I currently have no plans to remix it, so wot you hear, is wot ya get. Let me know wot ya think, I need some feedback!!! I spent some time last night fuckin' with the colors of the forum's appearance. Vote in the poll and give me suggestions on how to make the forum better.
Progress has been made on the Big Screen Basslines tracklist. Mattius & I chose all the fonts that we will be using on the tracklist. I told him all thats left is to paint & take the pic, and figure out what we want the tracklist to look like.

Preparations are being made for this month's DND Monthly (4:20). Mattius has been practicing his sets, while I have been freestylin' off & on. I expect a much better vibe on 4:20, cuz we will be expanding the dancefloor & da deckz will face towards da dancefloor. If I can get my burner to work, I will be passing out FREE MIX CDs during mine & Mattius' sets. For those who haven't heard Mattius mix his upcoming album, Big Screen Basslines betta ax sum body! In the next few days, I will be attempting to get a hold of Tupper & Dalfin. Mainly to ax dem if they want to be included on April's DND Monthly flyer. I updated the look of many of our tracklists during da last few days. I am trying to make them as easy to read as possible. We still have plenty of tracklists yet to be finished; Big Screen Basslines, Hostile Takeover (Sofa King We Todd Did CD Samplers), A Tribute to BCUK (2007 mix), and the upcoming untitled Splif In Da Sky album.
It's finally April!!! This month's DND Monthly is gonna be da shisnite! We plan to third the dancefloor space & add a 12'' sub in front of the dj booth. Mattius & myself are, of course, are on the dj roster, but we are hoping to get Tupper & Dalfin to open up for us. Open decks will be from 8-9pm, a new DND Monthly tradition. April's DND Monthly dj lineup will be posted on the DND Announcements page sometime next week, so be sure to check back!

I recorded a practice mix of Hot 2 Def - Track 1 today. Click here for MP3 & here for tracklist! Not completely happy wit it, so I probably will remix it before the album is officially finished. I am hoping to complete Hot 2 Def sometime in April.
Mattius & I are going to begin to pick out some track selections for his upcoming album, Big Screen Basslines (Track 2). His first track is da shit! Can't wait to get it on MP3 so ya'll can listen! Big Screen Basslines tracklist will be posted in the near future, as soon as Mattius composes Track 2 and Amanda gets her back painted. Will keep ya updated!
Mattius & I have been talking about mixing another album for the Splif In Da Sky label. We were thinking since the Haterz Bware CD Sampler came out so good, so fast, that we would tag the next Splif In Da Sky album. So far, just a work in progress, but more details to come.

Tupper finally made it by Brick House tha hear sum dnb! I ran thru my Hot 2 Def - Track 1 (updated version), it turned out OK considering I wasn't trying my hardest. I did, however, nail a few mixes, but the final mix is far from being completed. Mattius dropped his Big Screen Basslines - Track 1 for Tupper, as well. He seemed pretty impressed, and his head stayed bobbin'. Melissa & Bryant showed up about 30 minutes after we finished playing, bad timing on their part. It was kinda a last-minute-type session.
For those who plan on making it out to Brick House for April's DND Monthly - 4:20, be prepared for a slammin' time! Mattius will more than likely run thru his Big Screen Basslines, while I plan to run thru my Hot 2 Def - Track 1 (updated version). We promise sum new sets, for sure, in May, maybe a smooth/liquid funk set from me. If Mattius has composed his Big Screen Basslines - Track 2 in time for April's DND Monthly - 4:20, be prepared for a preview.

One hell of a game last night b/w USC & UNC!!! We're watchin' all the tourney games @ Brick House! Hit me up via MySpace to let me know if ya want 2 watch sum college b-ball wit us. Practice sessions planned for Monday afternoon from 12noon-4pm, & maybe one or two night sessions (8-11pm) to be announced. Happy B-day to Nathan!!! Tonight is the end of the Sweet 16 (NCAA Men's Basketball). Games start @ 7pm, UNC vs. USC @ 10pm. Come out & watch some games w/ us!
Last night, Mattius & I played some dnb for Melissa's new boyfriend. I think he enjoyed it. We just freestyled for about thirty minutes or so. It was good chance to test out the new setup. Definitely feelin' it!!!

Mattius & I rearranged the dnb room yesterday. The dj booth can now be viewed from the living room, & people can stand in front of the dj. During DND Monthlys, we will move half of the couch to make the dancefloor double in size. A whole lot betta use of space! The dnb room is now the living room & the room behind the fireplace is now the dj booth w/ rekidz down the walls behind the deckz. During the next DND Monthly, we will light da dj booth w/ blacklights & a small colored meteorite light. We plan to bust out da Titan for an added background effect + there will be a possibility that we may have some blacklight-reactive body painting goin' on.
We are hoping to get a better following of dnb headz in the area before we waste anymore time & money gettin' a venue. DND Monthlys will continue as scheduled thru November if everything continues to work out @ Brick House. Next DND Monthly will be on Friday, April 20th, don't sleep!

One hella party last night!!! The evening began with a great game between Michigan State & UNC (NCAA Men's Basketball). After the game, I mixed the entire Hot 2 Def (2007 mix) album. I started with Track 1, then Mattius played his Big Screen Basslines set, then I finished with Track 2. Both of us were straight up killin' it! One the best mix sessions both of us have had in a while!!!
Huge ups to everyone who participated in last night's festivities. Turnout was not fantastic, but it's our first monthly, so give it time. The ladies, however, did outnumber the men! Always a good thing, especially at a dope-ass dnb party. It is safe to say that all the guys at the party got laid! Sucks for Chad (inside joke!).
Towards the end of the night, everyone got drunk & par chilled. Matt & Amanda retired to Matt's room, while Ashley passed out on the couch watching Borat. Ashley (Pixie Dust) & Melissa decided to cook biscuits @ 2:30am. Ashley put on her blue nightie & served food to Melissa, Bryant, & I. She looked so sexy in it. The material was see-thru, & best of all, she wore no panties underneath. Definitely one of high points of my evening.

Since the turnout last night was the lamest yet, there will not be anymore DND Weeklys for a long while. March is here, and summertime is right 'round da corna. Hopefully, people will start coming out of their houses soon, and feel da need to hear sum dnb. What some people don't know is; we started DND Weeklys in order to give local djs an opportunity to show off their progress on upcoming albums. Tupper & Dalfin both made it out to Brick House a total of 2 times in February. We originally began DND Weeklys for them & the few people who knew about it. Mattius & I can mix records whenever, DND Weeklys were supposed be for the local drum and bass crew. Unfortunately, support has been not existent the last few weeks. Mattius & I have no desire to let this bump in the road stop us, we will continue to practice whenever we feel like it and we will not wait on people who don't show up.
Progress on Mattius's upcoming album is going really well. Recording coming soon. I recorded Hot 2 Def - Track 1 on Tuesday, and it came out pretty decent. I planned to run thru my Hot 2 Def - Track 2 set last night, but since turnout was sooooooooooo slack, I decided to wait. Will work on it on Friday.
Still no date confirmation on March's DND Monthly. So far, we are leaning towards a Saturday night, not sure which one, though. DND Monthly's March lineup will be posted after djs are confirmed. Confirmed so far: LyNkZ & Mattius, still waiting on reply from Dalfin & Tupper. More details coming when available.

Mattius & I worked on our upcoming albums last night. Mattius ran thru his Big Screen Basslines set, then I ran thru my Hot 2 Def set - Track 1. Mattius attempted to get his set recorded, but kept runnin' into problems towards the end of his set. The first time he ran it thru sounded the best, can't wait to get it recorded. We still have much work to do on our upcoming albums and hope to record a promo mix in the next few days.
This coming week's DND Weekly will be the last DND Weekly for a while. Starting next month, we will be having DND Monthlys instead of DND Weeklys. DND Weeklys will resume again, however, the question is when? Flyer and date of March's DND Monthly will be posted in the next few weeks.

Get ready for the return of DND Weekly, this Wednesday night. Djs: Mattius & myself will be workin' on our upcoming albums. If Tupper shows, we will be workin' on his Attack of the Condo Clones set. Jimbo & one of his friends will be coming by for their first DND Weekly. We plan to drop all kinds of dnb. No word from Dalfin lately. We hope he will swing by soon and mix some rekidz wit us.

Thanx to all that showed up for Encdnb.com's 1 Year Anniversary Party! Most people I invited couldn't make it, but we still had fun. Dalfin & Josh had to work. Tupper showed up ready to drop phat trax like bombs. He & I worked on composing his Attack of the Condo Clones - Track 2 set. It sounded really good compared to what was originally recorded. Tupper definitely proved he's been practicing! Great effort! Mattius played well, dropping several freestyle mixes along with his mix on Attack of the Condo Clones - Track 1 (Tupper v. Mattius v. LyNkZ). I ran thru my Hot 2 Def set, and did an alright good. I still have much work to do with it before I record. Awesome party, can't wait to see what we sound like at Encdnb.com's 2nd Year Anniversary Party. Pics from last night are located on the Previous Events page.

How bout dem Tarheels? Wot a game! Dalfin showed up out of the blue last night. He's been missing for bout a month. Tupper was a no show. Maybe one day we can get all the djs together for a session soon. Dalfin got some mixes in before the game after my Hot 2 Def set - Track 1 (first half). Mattius got nasty on da deckz after da game. We should get him to record after every Heels victory. Dalfin freestyled for a while after Mattius went to bed. Big ups to Dalfin for finally making out to Brick House.
Dalfin & I were talking about our new tracklist for Hostile Takeover, previously titled, "Sofa King We Todd Did. He thinks he can convince his friend, Lizzy, to get her back painted. We plan to have the background blue and the letters yellow. At the top of her back it will read, Hostile Takeover. In the middle will be a drawing of a Dj Mixer, and the lower back will say LyNkZ. She is moving soon, but Dalfin thinks he can get her painted in the next few weeks.

Sorry to all those who wanted to log on to the site this morning. Tupper forgot that the hosting had expired. We took care of everything, and it should be smooth sailing 'til 2008.
Josh said he wanted to listen to some records and hang out this evening, but no word from him. So I spent the evening instead recording MP3 samples for the DNB Vinyl Clearance page. I added pictures, as well. I hope to finish the page in the next few days.

It only happens once a year, da Super Bowl!!! This year, I believe that both teams deserve to be there unlike in some of the previous years. Everybody @ Brick House is pickin' DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BEARS, so far. Still time left before the game, though, a Colt fan or two may show up. You never know.
I am going to schedule my practice session on Monday around Josh aka 'Peanut'. He been busy and finally has some time off. Mattius & I are gonna let Josh get a 1st listen to our new albums, Big Screen Basslines & Hot 2 Def. He should be impressed.

Happy Groundhog Day! The groundhog did not see its shadow, believe it or not. This weekend's events at Brick House: Saturday @ 3:30pm - UNC @ NC State (Men's NCAA Basketball), and Sunday @ 6:25pm - Super Bowl XLI - Bears vs. Colts. Come out and enjoy one hell of a weekend in sports.
Last night, I brainstormed on Hot 2 Def, 2007 mix. I came up with the tracks I wanted, then mixed them today to see what they sounded like together. I was impressed how well I put that set together without playing it first, and when I did play it, it came out exactly (actually better) than I expected. New tracklist posted on Upcoming Albums page.

Last night's DND Weekly XXI was very productive. Tupper & I tagged back and forth from 8:30-10pm. I then recorded Track 1 for DankNation. Mattius finished off with a practice set of Track 1 - Big Screen Basslines. Dalfin is still M.I.A. Dalfin still needs to finish his Attack of the Condo Clones - Track 4 with Mattius. Hopefully, he will resurface soon so we can finish Attack of the Condo Clones.
Big ups to the few who came by & represented last night. Next week, we will be recording a promo mix for Mattius's new album, Big Screen Basslines. The recording is mostly to see how long the set will be. It is up to Mattius whether it will be posted or not. Tupper & I plan to work on our sets for Attack of the Condo Clones. Tupper needs to remix Track 2 with Shimon's Drugmule [Ram] instead of Universal Project's Outrun [UP Recordings]. He has been practicing up, and we could definitely tell the difference. If time alllows next week, I want to run thru both Tracks 1&3 on Attack of the Condo Clones, as well.

DND Weekly XXI tonight. Much work to be done! We promise there will be djs, as always. You would think that would be inferred. LyNkZ & Mattius will be hookin' it up regardless of if anyone else comes or not!
Mattius & I drove way da fuck out to Baccardi's Lounge last night for Allied Rukus's Tore-Up Tuesdays. What a waste of gas, time, and energy. When Mattius and I got there, it seemed way to quiet for there to be a dnb party nearby. When we finally figured out how to get to the "club", we walked in and heard rap music. We knew that the party was cancelled, for sure. Mattius asked the bartender, "Where's da djs?". She told him to talk to the lady with the leather jacket on, by the video poker machines. He then asked her the same question. She said that she hadn't heard from the djs in a while. Once I got home, I posted my review on the forum, and erased Tore-Up Tuesdays from our forum & site. The folks are encdnb.com want to apologize to those who wasted their time, as well. A cancellation notice would have been nice, right?
I was listening to the practice sets from Attack of the Condo Clones this afternoon, and I really think we need to set back the release date, again. From what I heard, the album needs much more work. My set sounded like I rushed through it, both times. Mattius's mixes were not near as thought out as most of his other mixes. I understand, it's hard to get motivated to finish an album when no one else is. I am gonna try to shoot for Summer 2007 for the final release date for Attack of the Condo Clones. Wish us luck!

Tonight, I plan to drop sum rekidz in celebration of Ashley not having to work 'til 1pm tomorrow, and Nate stayin' w/ his granny. I didn't get to practice today, cuz I was babysittin' Nate, but I like playing at night betta anyways. I am planning on working on my DankNation set (Track 1) a lot tonight. The last time I ran it thru, it sounded pretty damn good, but still had a few fuckups. I really want this mix to be hot, so I plan to spend tons of time on it in the near future.
Hopefully, Mattius will continue to work on his upcoming album, Big Screen Basslines tonight. He has been making some real progress on it the last few days. Mattius said he plans on toying w/ Rascal & Klone's Hellraiser [Shakedown], maybe adding it to the mix. No word from Mattius on when the tracklist for Big Screen Basslines will be completed. Details coming soon.

Mattius's Big Screen Basslines intro. is sounding really good, so far! Only one mix done, but it's really hot. I have been working on my DankNation set (Track 1), but I am still not completely ready to record yet. I hope to be ready by Wednesday's DND Weekly. Still no word from Dalfin, I know he's read my messages cuz he logs into MySpace just about everyday. Oh well, he knows how to get up.
If we are to finish Attack of the Condo Clones by March, then we need to get our butts in gear. Tupper has replaced Outrun by Universal Project (UP Recordings) with Shimon's Drugmule (Ram Recordings) in his Attack of the Condo Clones set (Track 2). He still needs to record the new version. I plan to finish my Attack of the Condo Clones set (Track 3) after I finish my DankNation set (Track 1). We also need to remix Attack of the Condo Clones set (Track 1) from Tupper, Mattius, and myself real soon. Track 4 will be left alone unless Dalfin & Mattius decide to remix it, not likely.

Since I didn't get my record in time for DND Weekly, and the turnout was sooooo slack last nite, I plan to spend tomorrow working on my DankNation set (Track 1), and I may begin working on my Hot 2 Def 2007 mix. Tupper & Dalfin were M.I.A., Ashley was sick, and Matt went to bed early. Not a party environment at all. I hope we can make up for that next week.
I really am disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm lately from our djs. I am continuously trying to better this site with fresh new mixes, and create somewhat of a dnb scene around here. I try to give each DND dj an opportunity to come over to my house each week and work on their sets. If the djs don't show up, why are we doing this again?
I plan to double up on my practice sessions in order to get back to where I want to be. I am gonna schedule time out of each day to work on upcoming albums. Here is a schedule of my dnb sessions: Mon-Fri from 1pm-2pm, and Sat-Sun (TBA).

DND Weekly XX, the twentieth DND Weekly, will be this Wednesday night starting at 8pm. Friends of Dark 'N' Dank Recordings MySpace are invited!
We have much work to be done on our upcoming albums. Monday night, Mattius & I are gonna work on the 2007 remixes of DankNation (Tracks 1&3). During DND Weekly XX, Tupper will be working on his Attack of the Condo Clones set (Track 1). We need to spend the rest of January's DND Weeklys working on Attack of the Condo Clones. Once finished, the DND crew will brainstorm on our next album. I plan to remix Hot 2 Def's two tracks in February. I plan to add many new tracks along with some classics in between. A new tracklist will also be created using pictures from previous Hot 2 Def photo session. Remixes of Tribute to BCUK and Sofa King We Todd Did CD Samplers (new name & tracklist coming soon) will be in the works this Fall. Mattius will be working on his solo album, Big Screen Basslines, this Summer. He also has plans for a new solo album on Splif In Da Sky Recordings to come out sometime before 2008. DND Weekly is back. Tupper, Mattius, Ashley, & I decided that after two practice sessions at the new house, we should start the DND Weeklys where we left off. That is why we are calling last night's practice session, DND Weekly XIX, pics on Previous Events page. DND Weekly XX, the twentieth weekly, will start next Wednesday night @ 8pm. Hit me up via MySpace for the new address. Since we called the last place, Blue House, we feel it is only necessary to call our new house, Brick House. Don't miss our first scheduled practice session @ Brick House!
Big Screen Basslines tracklist coming soon, possibly as soon as this weekend. Mattius plans to paint his girl, Amanda, with blacklight-reactive paint. The letters will be either neon green or blue, and her silhouette painted in neon pink. On her lower back, Matt plans to paint a marquee with a neon yellow background. She will then stand in front of a black background with blacklights facing towards her for pictures. It should be one of our hottest tracklists to date.
Mattius and I have decided to postpone the remix of Musical Revelation from Summer 2007 to Summer 2008. We feel that we have too many albums to work on already this year. We do plan to remix DankNation, Hot 2 Def, Tribute to BCUK, and maybe Sofa King We Todd Did this year. Speaking of Sofa King We Todd Did, Dalfin has a friend that wants her back painted. So we plan to create a new tracklist for Sofa King We Todd Did, along with a remix of Track 1, sometime this year, as well. We also plan to change the name, still not sure what to call it yet, though.

NFL playoffs starts today @ 4:30pm, IND @ BAL. Everybody in da house is pickin' Baltimore, but Mattius says Indy is gonna pull it out. Next is PHI @ NO at 8pm. Ashley, Matt, & I are all pickin' New Orleans. More playoffs tomorrow starting @ 1pm & 4:30pm. Next weekend, AFC & NFC Championships. Plenty of good football for a while, its playoff time!

Mattius's solo album, Big Screen Basslines, is in the works. The tracklist will follow the normal format, hot chick with album name painted on her back. Mattius has decided to use blacklight paint instead of the paint we usually use. The letters will be neon green while the background will be neon pink. Painting will begin once we get some paint and schedule a date with Amanda. DankNation's track 1 needs to be remixed again along with Mattius's track 3. I hope to have a recording done for track 1 by the end of the weekend.

Hot 2 Def tracklists finally completed! Big ups to Melissa & Chad for making it happen! Hot 2 Def is temporarily in two parts. I plan to make the 2007 mix tracklist fit all on one tracklist. I was really pleased on how the Hot 2 Def CD Sampler came out. I do not plan to remix the CD Sampler, so the tracklist will stay the same as it is now. To view pics from last night's body painting, visit the Hot 2 Def Album Covers page. I plan to remix Hot 2 Def at the end the summer. Be on the look out for DankNation 2007 mix, coming in February. NEW Hot 2 Def tracklist coming tomorrow, if everything works out.
We are officially moved out of Blue House. I plan to have periodical dnb sessions throughout the year. The next dnb session will be in honor of encdnb.com's 1 year anniversary. It will be on Saturday, February 10, 2007. Only friends of Dark 'N' Dank Recordings MySpace page are invited. This will be a dnb session, not a party. Our neighborhood is too crowded to bass out like we did at Blue House. We still plan to have a good time! Details and flyer coming soon.

Its funny how when you are throwing parties, everyone is your friend, but when you are moving, where's everybody at? Today, I will be cleaning da shit out of Blue House tomorrow, and moving the last of our shit. If anyone would like to help, call me! I threw shit loads of FREE dnb sessions, all I ask is a lil' help, please. Props to my real friends and family that helped move da big shit. We will be officially out of Blue House on Saturday. More parties coming soon. We have to first get moved in our new house, then search for another venue. I will continue to update the site periodically, but I plan to slack off on updating so frequently. Not many parties goin' on this month, but the few dat are can be found on our Upcoming Events & Events Calendar pages. NFL playoffs coming dis weekend. I plan to sit at my new house and do nothing but watch football. Its gonna be great!

Well, we are almost done moving out of Blue House. Our new house is in a quiet neighborhood, so we will unfortunately not be throwing any parties. We will announce our next show as soon as we find a new venue to play at. We will be hooking up the deckz tomorrow at the new crib, but we won't be playing cuz we have much more moving to do.
Thanx to everyone who brought the vibe to Blue House. We are gonna need ya to make sure ya bring the vibe to our next show, on the real tip. I now have internet at the new crib, so hit me up. Peace.
